I'm here simply to let you know that in the next week, Genius to the max will be experiencing some very big changes. Some may not like the differences, but I believe that some will and that many problems will be solved from this. I'll admit that even I see some bad with the differences that will be made, but I'm willing to take the good with that comes along with it. This weekend folks. Look forward to it. Thanks.
I know I haven't finished the script yet. I'm workin' on it. Remember that file I sent you guys before? (Referring to the voice actors) Well I've recently added some stuff to the end. Remember that you can type suggestions on the script. I'll see these, and I actually really want some feedback, whether it's commentary on the story, or just an idea for an addition or joke in the script... Everything is welcome. OKAY! (Back to talking to everybody) Like you just read... I'm still working on the script. As mentioned to me today, by Robert, I think people want to start on voicing the script, so it's a nice way to pressure me to get the actual written thing done sooner. I don't want to give you too much to read today, just letting you know that the script itself is making progress. Sayonara!
Recently I've begun work on half-animating the podcast we recorded a few weeks ago, but trust me, it's taking longer than I thought. I'm still going to try and have it out as soon as possible, but that might be a few weeks to a few months, and I might resort to not animating it at all if it means I have more time for stuff I feel is more important. either way, you'll see the podcast within the year probably. Going off topic a bit, I heard they're making a new incredibles movie. That's pretty sweet. I'll bet the animation is pretty top notch too. Back on track, I put up a poll on the main page early last week and I was surprised to see how many votes we got. I'll continue making them as long as you guys vote on them. Check the main page to see the results of the previous and to vote on the new poll. I'm still trying to get a time set with Adam and Austin. It's hard to plan as it is with scheduling and stuff, not to mention I'm horrible at planning in general. That's all for now, and get ready for another comic this weekend. Farewell!
We Finally finished recording!!! (The Podcast, that is) It's all done just waiting for me to partially animate for youtube. Now it's just the problem of getting around to it when I have the chance. I might need to do something drastic to make time, such as cut out some time playing "The Forest" (An awesome game you should check out if you like games... if not, then that's fine too. No worries) or maybe by cutting out some hours of watching youtube. We'll see. As always, there will be another comic this weekend, as long as I'm not late, (again) and there should be a podcast out on the videos page soonish. I'll let you know when that's done on our facebook page. (Yes, I know most of you came from there, but I'm going to link it none the less) Not much else to report for this week other than the preceding stuff, so... that's it. Stay Frosty!
Once again I neglected to make a blog post for last week, which is to be expected by now. Not much to share except for that voicing for the show is slow. This is mostly due to SOME PEOPLE... AH-ADAM AND AUSTIN-HEM! I'm kidding. of course it's actually just me neglecting to actually meet with both of them over google chat at the same time. Hey! Give me a break! So I'm probably finally going to do that this weekend if that works out for both Adam and Austin. Speaking of which... This weekend I'm going to attempt to record sound for the first half-animated kind of vlog on our channel! Now, don't get too excited. I said we were Recording it... not finishing it. It might be a week or so before it actually is released, which I'm sure you all can deal with. I've decided that these recordings will be structured, but unscripted. We're going to have a cutoff point at 30 minutes, where, no matter where we are in our conversation, we will cut off the episode. We will be providing ourselves with a simple topic, probably only one word, and talking randomly about or not about that topic for the 30 minute time period. That's all I have for now, until the comic that may or may not be out this weekend is released. So, like... look down and you'll see a panel from it. Opposite of Bonjure to ya.
Oh, I was going to attach a picture to the bottom of this blog with a panel from the upcoming comic, like I did last time, but Flash had to go and crash and delete all the work I did today, so that's fun. I probably need to activate some sort of minute-based auto save feature or something... I'm pretty sure there's one implemented, so it would be good for me to look that up. There's not really any big news for today, except that... uh... yeah, no big news. So how are you doing today? Did you have a nice day at school/work/home? Really?! Me too! Woah... how about your dog/cat/pet of some kind? They're good too? I'm glad to hear it. So... Want to hear a joke? Well I can't think of one, so you're on your own. I had a pretty nice day, thanks for asking. I woke up when I was ready, which was apparently 5:30, according to my alarm clock. I enjoyed a nice cup of coffee and breakfast sandwich, and by "enjoyed" I mean scarfed down, and by "scarfed down" I mean ate very slowly during commercial brakes of my pre-recorded cartoons. School was pretty bland, as usual, except for that I made no progress on the weeks comic in art class... yeah, that's about it. What about your day? Feel free to write it down in the comments, but I probably won't read it anyways, so never mind. Talk to you next week, probably! Bye!
In the previous blog I was a little upset with Asus over my computer, but after looking through the interwebs for some possible fixes to problems I've been having, I realized it isn't Asus, but rather Windows 8. Everybody hates windows 8, and if you don't, then you need to seriously rethink your life. Honestly, I understand why people prefer Macs over Windows computers, simply because it's better for things like running a business and keeping track of files. I can't stand Macs just because I was upset they veered so far from what Windows originally looked and functioned like. But Then... Windows came along with Windows 8, which completely changed a lot of the ways the computer runs, so that's cool. But I'll be getting Windows 10 from my pal Jimmy in the next weekend, so I should be fine. So, sorry Asus. It wasn't your fault, and please forgive me. Besides that, I've been unable to work on the script because I wrote it in Microsoft Word, and my computer didn't come with it. I'm currently trying to see if anybody I know can supply me with an install disk, but until then I can only work on the script from Wednesday and Thursday as well as every other weekend. I'm still going to keep the one blog a week and one comic a week schedule, but I think I like it better if there's a blog near the beginning of the week and a comic at the end so it seems like we're pushing more content out when actually we're just spacing it better. Some podcasts are definitely in order, mostly because having some sort of video content and sound quality examples might build fan base while the initial episode is in progress. I'll continue to do these blogs and inform you of any of the new stuff or stuff you've already heard a ton of times. So... yeah. Adios!
I finally received my computer from asus. Yay! Unfortunately there were some problems with the laptop initially, and I'll just say now that if you do happen to purchase an asus computer, make sure to turn on all of the anti-virus software... Because it comes turned off. l:( BUT! Other than that it works fine. The recent problems with downloading flash and not being able to receive my flash files on this computer slowed me down a bit, but by the end of the week everything will be transferred and set and I should have a comic out by at least Saturday. I'm going to try to finish the scripts for all of our voice actors within the next week so we can begin recording sessions by mid-February. If we do end up starting on time then recording will be done by March. By that time, the plan is to spend all of my time working on the final animation. I will make sure to do a comic and a blog per week, but it will most likely be on Fridays or Saturdays. I'm also going to spend some time doing a few of the video ideas I mentioned in the previous Post, which will prolong the making of the final pilot episode, but I think it's important to have other projects to focus more effectively. Sorry about not having a picture for this one... I'll just throw something on the end so it's not too boring. See Ya!
Hey, Guys... I know it's been a while since I last wrote a blog, but I'm just going to cut the apology and assume that you forgive me. Awesome! So basically, the plan is to have my laptop in by next week. I'm going to try to order it, either off newegg or amazon, this week. At that point we will be able to work on gaming videos, podcast, the animation for the first episode, and a few other ideas we've had, such as scary noodles where we read creepy pastas, video game reviews which we will be doing when we've played a game long enough to think we can accurately judge it, as well as weekly comics and blogs such as this one. Okay, now I'll go into more detail as to how the videos will be made and when they will be coming out. Now, the gaming videos will be more than just let's plays, in fact, it will probably have little if not any actual playthroughs. When we play a game, (Minecraft, Destiny, Arma 3, Grand Theft Auto 3, Halo series, and any other online indie games or suggestions we get) we're probably going to play for around an hours length of time and then do editing to cut out unfunny or unimportant parts. Every gaming video will be a montage of the funniest moments, unless we get enough people asking for an entire playthrough. There will be facecams, but they're going to be animated, or at least, partially animated. For this reason, the videos may take a while at first, but after a few, we will have compiled enough frames to the point where we won't even need to do any drawing, just syncing with the sound. Games will be followed up by a podcast reciewing it. And speaking of podcasts... Every episode we will have a set topic or topics that we will talk about. These conversations will be entirely unscripted, but may be censored due to offensive content and Jimmy. The video will include a shaded picture of each character who is currently speaking which will light up when they are talking. This will allow you to tell who is talking at what time as I'm sure many of us will sound similar to you at some point. We will take as many suggestions for ideas from viewers as possible. After a while we may have 1 per week, but I'm not making any promises! That's all I have for now. There will be another comic coming this week sometime and another blog and comic next week. Ba Bye!
So I have Christmas break starting this Friday, and I'm not sure If I'll be able to put out any drawings in that time. As I do not yet have my laptop, I have a hard time keeping track of things due to the fact that I have split housing. I can't say that I'll have a comic for every week of the break, (there are three) but I'm going to try to at least have the Christmas one ready for... well, Christmas. Besides that, I have some posters planned, as well as the HD background with all the characters. I've been working on a profile picture for Eric's facebook page. If you like Legend of Zelda, you'll enjoy his page. You can see the picture of Link I drew below. I also would like to begin a few new things...
The first has to do with some potential series comics coming up. You can see from the "Series Comic" a while back that I was planning on it, but I never got the chance. Another feature is the "SECRET COMIC FILES" If you can find the link hidden throughout the web page, you'll be rewarded with access to all new comic ideas and posters and what not that haven't even been released yet! But every time I update the page, I will switch the link to a different place. Good luck! If you've been paying attention, you would notice that in the comics "Solution", "Steve", and "Hand" there are tally marks progressively counting down from 6. I won't reveal what they mean now, but I will say if you can guess the pattern before 0, you might be able to know what's coming. Well! That's about it. I should be adding one blog post a week, so look forward to more of these and comics and whatever other things I make. Toodle Loo! |
